About Me

Melissa Brown is a New York transfer from Virginia (via, Chicago and Miami). A seasoned professional, Melissa has spent the better part of a decade specializing in strategic communication, public relations, crisis communication, community relations and product launches for consumer electronics, art, design and lifestyle brands. Focusing on results-driven campaigns that strategically align with client goals, Melissa has worked with some of the most innovative brands across multiple industries including: Samsung, Fiat, Bellabeat, House of Marley, Room2Play, Art Basel, IBM, Cotton, MTV, and Spotify, among others.

Apart from successful media campaigns, Melissa has also managed cross-marketing opportunities for clients with brands such as Vogue, Duncan Hines, Grey Goose Vodka, Duvel, Société Perrier, The Humane Society, Rex Goliath, Artefacto, Ornare, 120% Lino, the Bass Museum of Art and ETC. She also played an integral role in event fulfillment with the launch of Cotton’s World Premiere 24 Hour Runway Show in South Beach.

Melissa has a Master of Science in corporate and professional communication and a Bachelor of Science in public relations and theatre from Radford University. Prior to joining 5W Public Relations, Melissa worked as an Account Supervisor at GreenRoom Public Relations, Marketing Manager for the Bass Museum of Art and as an Account Executive at Zakarin Martinez Public Relations in Miami and the Big Ooga in Chicago.
