Business Insider’s UK Fintech 35 under 35 makes for some pretty impressive reading. Under 35 years old (by quite a margin in some cases…Ollie Purdue, Loot...), this is a collection of people that have questioned, challenged, innovated and created, driving in large part the enormous waves of change we have seen in the financial services sector in recent years.

From the leaders of glittering start-ups – including Ed Maslaveckas, CEO and cofounder of Bud, and Thishani Nadesan, COO of Cleo – to those leading the FinTech charge within established businesses – Claire Calmejane, risk transformation director at Lloyds, Marcus Trotter, innovation specialist at Deutsche Bank, and Oli Harris, head of crypto strategy at JPMorgan – it really is a remarkable parade of talent.

Across personal finance and wealth management (PensionBee, Wealthify, Aire), Digital Identity (Onfido), RegTech (ComplyAdvantage, Suade), InsurTech (Brolly), to payments and banking (Starling Bank, Azimo, Revolut), and business finance (MarketInvoice) – this is a list of leaders worth following!

It’s also lovely to see some of the wider community in there, such as Simon Taylor, co-founder of 11:FS, and Joe Cross, recognised for his work as director of marketing and brand at TransferWise.

Of course, it’s a big old industry. But this looks like a line up that is going to continue to have a major hand in shaping the way we pay, save, trade, invest and think about money. London FinTech scene, you got this.
